Spark, the only multi-utility provider focused on home movers, has launched Spark Business Utilities, a B2B energy service initially targeting high street letting and estate agents – many of whom already use the Spark Group’s domestic service and digital platforms.
Spark Business Utilities offers competitive fixed-term gas and electricity deals for commercial premises that can save agents money and give peace of mind over a period of up to three years - helping with the upcoming squeeze on profits from challenges like the tenant fee ban.
This is the second venture launched by the Spark Group this year after their PropTech platform, Tili, went live. Tili is a digital home move assistant that adds additional extra revenue for agents and improves the home move experience for customers.
Chris Gauld, CEO of Spark said: “The move into business energy is really exciting for us and shows the appetite of the group to find more and better ways of adding real value for our commercial partners".
“Business energy is something our partners in the property industry have been asking us about for some time. We know that they’re facing numerous challenges and Spark Business Utilities will help them to meet some of these by reducing their costs and preserving their hard earned margin. In fact, we’ve been able to offer savings of more than £20k to partners compared to what they were paying on with their existing big six energy supplier".
Spark have been working with the property industry for over a decade and continually look for opportunities to support their partners in.
Gauld continued: “Our business energy offer majors on ‘multi-site’ solutions allowing our team to consolidate our clients’ property portfolios into a single account but with full visibility at a branch by branch level to help make sense of their energy usage while delivering an easy consolidated billing solution tailored to their needs of their Head Office”.
